The "Three Jewels" symbol was hand carved and had beautiful meaning. It was created with the 3 Jewels of Buddha nestled inside a flowering Lotus Flower.
Buddhists take refuge in three different expressions of awakened mind: Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. Each of these is a precious and necessary element of the Buddhist path, and so they are called the three jewels. The Lotus flower blooms most beautifully from the deepest and thickest mud, making is also an incredible symbol!
